Lynn Learned (Sims) developed an environmental consciousness through contact with the sea and the geological landscape of California. The Watts riot of 1965 had a profound impact on Lynn as she drove two Nairobi senators through the midst of the riot. Subsequently, she started a cross cultural program through Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO) at Marymount College, Los Angeles.
After earning her Master’s Degree in Fine Art she went on to work and live in the Palau Islands in the Western Equatorial Pacific which culminated in an award winning documentary film, Strategic Trust. A world traveler and photographer, Lynn has also lived in New York, San Francisco, Paris and now lives in Central Mexico, working to develop more widespread sustainable production and utilization of organic food.
